As losses mount during the global pandemic, spiritual leaders of the Tibetan Bön tradition offered their prayers and blessings for those who are sick or have died. In a live Internet broadcast from India, Nepal, and the United States, thousands of butter lamps were lit and countless prayers recited. His Holiness says a few words and recites the Monlam Namsum prayer. Monks at Menri Monastery light butter lamps, more prayers are offered.
After a brief introduction by Rob Patzig, Khenpo Rinpoche speaks, followed by recitation of Tséwang’s Precious Mala of Beneficial Aspiration Prayers (Tsewang Monlam prayer) and lighting of butter lamps at Triten Norbutse Monastery.
