About the Presenters
Geshe YongDong Losar is a Tibetan Bön lama, or spiritual teacher, in the Yungdrung Bön lineage, which is rooted in the indigenous spiritual tradition of the Himalayas. He lives in Courtenay, British Columbia, where he established and directs Sherab Chamma Ling, the only Tibetan Bön Buddhist center in Canada. He teaches in many centers and universities around the world and has also founded the Bön Da Ling center in Costa Rica. Geshe YongDong has published several books in Tibetan and is an active member of Chiling Bön Tsok, the International Bön Lamas Association, and the International Tibetan Non-Sectarian Religious Association. He is cherished by students and colleagues for his calm and loving manner, his humor and humility, and his tireless dedication to the Dharma and the ultimate liberation of hearts and minds.
Daniel Aitken is the CEO and publisher of Wisdom Publications, as well as the host of the popular Wisdom Podcast and Wisdom Dharma Chats. In addition to publishing some of the most important books and online courses on Buddhism, he has interviewed more than 200 Buddhist masters from a variety of Buddhist traditions. Daniel has a Ph.D. in Buddhist philosophy. His lifelong interest in Tibetan Buddhism, the Tibetan language, and its literature has taken him across Australia, America, India, Nepal, and Tibet to pursue a deeper understanding of Buddhist theory and practice with some of the greatest masters from the living tradition.
Geshe Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche is a widely respected Tibetan Bön master who has been teaching in the West since 1988, offering accessible guidance on meditation, healing, and inner transformation. As the founder and spiritual director of Ligmincha International, Rinpoche has established centers and learning programs around the world and reaches a global audience through frequent online and in-person teachings. He is a prolific author of books that present ancient contemplative practices in a clear, practical, and contemporary way.
Jhama Lhamo (host), currently a resident student at Long Island University Brooklyn, is pursuing a master’s degree in public health and biomedical sciences in New York. She completed her high school education at the Tibetan Children’s Village School in Bangalore, South India, and earned her bachelor’s degree from Shoolini University in Himachal Pradesh, India. In 2023 she also produced a short documentary film spotlighting the Bodhisattvas in Action (BIA) Institute, a non-governmental organization in Gokarneshwar, Nepal.
