Join Marcy Vaughn for her third session in a three-part live online series exploring the medicine of breath and awareness through the traditional practice of the Nine Breathings of Purification. In a welcoming and supportive space, we will discover the refuge of the openness of being, develop stable attention, and learn to rest without interfering with the flow of experience. Each session is open to everyone, offering both new and experienced meditators a gentle way to reconnect with a natural sense of ease and presence. Through guided practice and reflection, we will explore patterns of aversion, attachment, and ignorance — the “three poisons” — and begin to work skillfully with the body’s subtle channels of light. By bringing breath and awareness together, we can soften habitual reactions and rediscover the inherent resourcefulness of our natural state.
Three sessions, September 9, September 10, and September 11, 2026 | 1–2 p.m. (New York time)

Currently a therapist in private practice in Santa Fe, N.M., U.S.A., Marcy teaches meditation classes and leads retreats that explore imagery and voice in the healing process. Marcy edited the books Tibetan Sound Healing, Awakening the Sacred Body, Awakening the Luminous Mind, and Spontaneous Creativity, all by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche. She helped design and teaches in The Compassion Project, a nine-month online course; and The 3 Doors Academy, a three-year residential and online training program. Both programs bring to life the benefits of contemplative practices in our daily lives.
