In this conversation between host Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and Kallon Basquin, director of The 3 Doors, we learn how the program’s founder and key organizers developed a secular, accessible approach to sharing ancient wisdom and meditation practices, particularly from Tibetan Bon Buddhism, with a wide range of people including students, professionals, and caregivers. The speakers explain how transformative effects were observed when individuals connected with the core teachings, leading to the creation of an academy offering a two-and-a-half-year commitment supported by mentorship and group practice. The program emphasizes inclusivity, personal and collective transformation, and practical application in diverse contexts such as schools, healthcare, and workplace leadership, with various projects and courses implemented internationally and supported by community and volunteers.
Tasha delek, old friend,
I remember you, fondly. We went through an interesting time together.
Sheryl and I came to Gig Harbor, WA, almost six years ago. (That was the soonest we could leave L.A. after her father passed in 2017.) We study and practice with Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, mostly via Zoom.
I trust that all is going well for you, and wish you well going forward.
Warm regards
