Dharma Shakti, LMT, CAS, E-RYT500, RYS, is the founder and owner of Yogalution Movement, a donation-based yoga studio and community in Long Beach, Calif. She has served in the healing arts since 1999, beginning as a massage therapist, and has taught yoga since 2005 after training in a traditional ashram under Swami Sitaramananda. With more than 5,000 hours of teaching experience and extensive training in traditional ashrams, Dharma is also a clinical Ayurveda specialist and a certified high performance coach trained by Brendon Burchard. She is deeply committed to making yoga accessible to all, regardless of background, through her studio and the free daily outdoor Yoga On The Bluff classes, which have become a Long Beach landmark. Alongside running her studio and raising her teenage sons as a single mother, Dharma leads weekly classes, workshops, retreats, teacher trainings, and personal development coaching. Her mission is to empower individuals to embrace their authentic selves and realize the greatness within, fostering inclusivity and personal growth through yoga and spiritual awakening. She is often called “The Tony Robbins of Yoga” for her impactful blend of personal development and spiritual teaching.

Alejandro Chaoul-Reich, Ph.D. (host) serves as director of research for Ligmincha International. He has studied in the Tibetan traditions since 1989, and for nearly 30 years in the Bön Tradition with Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche, His Holiness Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche, and Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche. He holds a Ph.D. in Tibetan religions from Rice University and is scholar and founding director of the Mind Body Spirit Institute at the Jung Center of Houston. For the last 20 years he has been teaching and researching the benefits of Tibetan mind-body practices for people touched by cancer. He is a Contemplative Fellow at the Mind & Life Institute, and is the author of Chöd Practice in the Bön Tradition (Snow Lion, 2009), Tibetan Yoga for Health & Well-Being (Hay House, 2018), and Tibetan Yoga: Magical Movements of Body, Breath, and Mind (Wisdom Publications, 2021).
