ONLINE COMMUNITY

The heart of CyberSangha is the community of practitioners (sangha) who are receiving and benefiting from Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche’s online teachings. It’s easy to become part of this community, simply by taking advantage of opportunities to connect with fellow students as you are following the CyberSangha teachings. For example:

Participate in the chat during a broadcast

Rinpoche’s live broadcasts can be easily viewed on his Facebook page and are free and open to all — you don’t need a Facebook account to view them. But if you are a member of Facebook, you can share comments or questions in the comments section of each broadcast.

Join the CyberSangha Discussion Group
If you are a Facebook member, you have the option of joining the CyberSangha Discussion Group, where you can share your experiences of meditation practice and learn from others’ experiences. We ask that you view one or more broadcasts (live or in the archives) before joining the Discussion Group, and to read the group guidelines before posting. To receive your invitation to join the group, send a request via email

Note: With your request, please let us know the email address associated with your Facebook account.

Take an online course with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche

Consider joining other students in one or more online courses offered by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche. The life-changing courses at Ligmincha Learning, crafted by Rinpoche and facilitated by a Ligmincha instructor, include video instruction by Rinpoche plus supportive materials, lesson plans, and discussion forums. In Rinpoche’s online workshops at Glidewing.com, throughout each workshop Rinpoche offers you his personal support and guidance in an Ask a Question forum as you work daily with his video-based teachings and guided meditations. Both of these platforms provide an ideal setting for learning meditation from the comfort of your home, as you apply your practice to the routines and challenges of everyday life and benefit from weeks of mutual support from other participants.

Join a local or online practice group

Ligmincha International, founded in 1992 by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, hosts online practice groups in a variety of languages. These live teaching/meditation sessions guided by senior students are accessible online via the Zoom platform. More information to come soon!

Also, check to see if there is a physical practice group in your locale. Ligmincha has centers and practice groups in many locations around the world — see here.

If there’s no practice group near you, consider hosting a group meditation practice using Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche’s online teachings. A new Host Training Program allows individuals who meet certain prerequisites to start local practice groups. Learn more.

Attend teachings in person

There are many opportunities to attend in-person teachings with Rinpoche and benefit from the support of other students, many of whom are also members of the online sangha. To view Rinpoche’s full schedule of worldwide teachings, visit Ligmincha.org.
