Lights, Camera … Action!

Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche first began offering a regular program of free live webcasts in 2009 with the devoted support of one, two, then more volunteer students. In 2016 Rinpoche assembled a core team of seven volunteers from North and South America and Western Europe to help him realize a larger vision for broadcasting on Facebook Live. The social media platform permitted him to reach a wide audience from his ongoing worldwide travels using only his personal smartphone as a broadcasting studio.

Since then CyberSangha has evolved to incorporate dozens of volunteers who, working in unison, communicate with each other almost daily via text from nearly 25 countries worldwide, helping to ensure that as many interested people as possible can benefit from Rinpoche’s life-changing teachings, guided meditations, and stimulating panel discussions

Today’s core CyberSangha team includes Anja Benesch and Oliver Wirtz of Germany; Daniel Conover, Polly Turner and Valerio Lupini of the United States; Lourdes Hinojosa, Mariela Iragorri, and Salvador Espinosa of Mexico; Santiago Villaveces of Colombia; and Oscar Solano Blanco of Costa Rica.

Volunteer Coordinator

We are looking for a volunteer who can help us coordinate our ongoing search for more volunteers! This person will work closely with CyberSangha team members to determine their needs; screen prospective volunteers regarding their skills, experience and interests; suggest an ideal fit to existing needs; and maintain a file or database of volunteers and their contact information.

Can you answer “yes” to all of these questions?

  • Are you a longtime, devoted student of Rinpoche’s teachings and/or a committed member of the CyberSangha, who would love to support the CyberSangha team in helping others?
