HOW TO PARTICIPATE

All CyberSangha® broadcasts are free and open to all.

To access the viewing screen

The broadcasts can be accessed in several ways:

  • Visit Rinpoche’s Facebook page at the time of the broadcast. (If you’re not a Facebook member, a pop-up window may prompt you to login; simply close that window to continue as a visitor.)
  • Visit the page at cybersangha.net  or the Event page on the CyberSangha community app devoted to the specific live broadcast you wish to view — for most broadcasts, the broadcast screen will appear there at the scheduled time. If it doesn’t appear at the scheduled time, try reloading the page.
To receive a notification each time Rinpoche goes live

There are several options for receiving advance notifications of CyberSangha broadcasts:

  • Subscribe to the CyberSangha News email list.
  • “Like” Rinpoche’s Facebook page, and under “Following,” choose “See First.” That way you’ll be less likely to miss any of his scheduled or unscheduled broadcasts. On any Event notice, choose “Interested” or “Going.”
  • Join the CyberSangha community app, and click on the Event you’re interested in attending. Choose “Going” or “Maybe” to received an advance notification. (Just be sure to enable app notifications.)
To join the chat

To join the chat during or after a broadcast:

  • On Facebook, if you have a Facebook account you can enter your greeting or other message in the comment field below the broadcast screen. During most broadcasts, an assigned chat host will be there to share information that can enhance your viewing experience.
  • On the cybersangha.net page or the community app Event that’s devoted to the broadcast, you are welcome to leave comments in the comment section.
To access recordings when you can’t watch live

A recording of each live broadcast is available immediately after the live version ends — visit the video archives page to locate recordings of interest. If the broadcast was recent, it may not yet appear in the archives. In that case, simply visit the page at cybersangha.net or the Event on the CyberSangha community app that’s devoted to the broadcast to view the recording there.

To listen to a translation in the language of your choice

Most live broadcasts are simultaneously translated into multiple languages, and these live translations are also available as recordings immediately after the broadcast ends. If one of our volunteer translators is unable to translate live, sometimes he or she will record a translation at a later date. Visit the Languages & Translation page for instructions on how to access these live and recorded translations.

To converse with others between broadcasts

To converse with others between broadcasts, join the CyberSangha community app. The app lets you chat with members one-on-one or in group chats or group spaces. The discussion group there permits registered members to share their experiences of the meditation practices and learn from the experiences of others — just be sure to read the Community Guidelines before posting.
